“Australian biologist Shane Brooks has developed a program
called 98lite that removes IE4 from Windows 98.

“The program allows users to replace browsing functionality
provided by IE4, with that of the smaller – and less
resource-intensive – Internet Explorer 3.”

“Mr Brooks does not plan to commercially market the product, and
has instead made it freely available on his Web site.”
