The Linux Foundation Adds New Members Focused on Cars and Games

Vehicles have been an emerging platform for Linux for several years now, with much of the momentum driven by auto makers and a few technology standards bodies, plus steadfast support for the trend from The Linux Foundation. Last year, The Linux Foundation announced the Automotive Grade Linux Workgroup (AGL). It’s designed to “facilitate widespread industry collaboration that advances automotive device development,providing a community reference platform that companies can use for creating products,” according to the Workgroup announcement.
