Valve is essentially trying to blend PC and console gaming. Valve is not interested – as Sony and Microsoft clearly are – in locking you into buying a proprietary console. You will be able to use your PC for SteamOS or you can buy a console from a number of different manufacturers. It’s your choice and you have the control.
