Tonight LIVE on www.thelinuxshow.com
At 6pm pst, 7pm rmt, 8pm cst, and 9pm east…. Kevin Hill, Jeff
Gerhardt, PJ Hyett, Doc Searls(Linux Journal), and Arne Flones have
another great show lined up tonight on The Linux Show!!
In Segment One – Hot News: We will be covering
the hot Linux news of the week. In particular we will talk about
the
recent story by John Taschek at ZD Net and how it sure seems
John is trying more to make the news than report on it. In
Segments Two- Agenda Computing: and the VR3 PDA (way
cool)
We will be joined by Brad LaRonde, President and
CEO (and CTO) of Agenda Computing (think this guy may have too much
to do?). Brad co-founded the Linux VR project and leads the
development team at Agenda.
The mission of Agenda is to bring users a new family of powerful
and portable Linux computers at affordable prices (we all like
that). Agenda’s vision is to deliver all the things users have come
to expect in a handheld device on an exciting computing platform
that’s packed with the CPU power, the memory and the storage needed
to handle desktop-class applications.
Each Agenda VR3 and VR3r is loaded with unique software and
hardware features like 16MB of Flash memory (hint- flash eliminates
the problem of data loss associated with RAM-based units),
something unheard for a list price of $249. It also supports 7
languages, is e-mail compatible, and will send a memo or message to
a printer by wireless infrared transfer. Jeff has been working with
the VR3 for the last couple days, and has a number of personal
observations about the product, including a report about his 10
year old daughter Elizabeth and her interaction with the VR3.

In Segments Three- The Loki Announcement:
Joining us Two weeks from tonight will be Scott and the rest of the
Loki crew for their third visit to The Linux Show. But tonight we
are making a special announcement about something very very cool
that we will be doing during that show. You do not want to miss
that announcement.
Other opinions are welcome at GeekCast. If you would like to
join us on the show, check our IRC Chat
(irc.thelinuxshow.com #linuxshow).
Remember tune in at 6pm pst, 7pm rmt, 8pm cst, and 9pm est.
