from the home of Wayne’s World, Aurora IL
Tonight LIVE on www.thelinuxshow.com

At 6pm pt, 7pm mt, 8pm ct, and 9pm et…. Kevin Hill, Jeff
Gerhardt, Doc Searls(Linux Journal), Arne Flones and Russ Pavlicek;
have another cool show lined up tonight on The Linux Show!!

In Segment One – Hot News: We will be covering
the hot Linux news of the last few weeks. In particular we will
discuss the news about Redmond Linux going after the Desktop
Market.

In Segment Two- The AOL BUZZ What is the real
story
In the last few days a great deal of speculation was launched over
the rumor of talks being launched between Red Hat and AOL. The
original story was published by the Washington Post and can be read
at
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/articles/A5064-2002Jan18.html
.
This article launched a series of articles over the last few days
speculating on the ramifications. Today we now have a new series of
reports quashing the story. (Me thinks all these denials
reflect some basis of a hidden truth >> JG)

Regardless of the facts, the controversy has made us face a
fact. Red Hat has reached basic profitability and is now a viable
take over target. Not only possible, but probable. Is the Linux
community prepared for the take over of our leading Commercial
Distro?

Other opinions are welcome at GeekCast. If you would like to
join us on the show, check our IRC
Chat(irc.thelinuxshow.com #linuxshow).

Remember tune in at 6pm pt, 7pm mt, 8pm ct, and 9pm et.
