In Segment One- Hot News: We will be covering
the hot PRE-EXPO Linux news of the week. We have
to take this as an opportunity to talk about all the clueless PR
hacks.

In Segments Two – LPI Update and Dans Adventures in
Linux
. Dan York of the Linux Professional Institute will
be joining us tonight to give us an update on the state of the LPI
testing program and the direction now being taken by LPI. Dan will
also relate to us his views on PR Hacks and his new (paying) gig at
E-smith,the makers of the E-Smith Server and Gateway.

In Segments Three – The Launch of Olliance: Service for
the Enterprise.
We will be joined by Laurent
Meynier
Chief Executive Officer and Co-founder, and
Fulton Connor the Chief Operating Officer of
Olliance. We will discuss the launch of their new venture that
focuses on Serving the open source consulting needs of the
Enterprise class business.

Meynier most recently served as lead Open Source Strategist for
WR Hambrecht + Co and was responsible for building and running the
open source banking and research group. During his tenure, Meynier
worked with the executive teams of major open source companies such
as VA Linux, Conectiva, CollabNet, Atipa, Lutris, and Andover.Net
to help them build profitable business models around open
source.

Connor brings over ten years of experience in the engineering
computer consulting business. He was a founding member of Open
Source Group, which later merged with Olliance. Previously, Connor
was president of one of Cotelligent’s professional services
divisions, where he was responsible for sales, recruiting, quality
control and operations. He oversaw 500 technical staff and grew the
company from $6 million to $75 million in 3 years.
