Tonight LIVE on www.thelinuxshow.com

At 6pm pst, 7pm rmt, 8pm cst, and 9pm east…. Kevin, Jeff, PJ,
Doc Searls (of the Linux Journal), and Emmett Plant have a great
show lined up tonight on The Linux Show!!

In Segment One- Hot News: We will be covering
the hot Linux news of the week, plus interesting news in the
greater technology world. High on the agenda will be the news about
all the VA Linux Class Action Law suits. We will discuss what South
Park and VA have in common.

In Segments Two – Lineo: the IPO is pulled.
Lineo is still in their quite period so no one from Lineo can
comment, but we will discuss the withdrawn IPO application. We will
discuss this very wise (in our opinion) move to delay the IPO and
its possible ramifications on the rest of the Linux Community.

In Segments Three – The VERY HOT news about IBM and NCSA
Super Computers:
We will be joined by Dan Reed, Director
at NCSA and Dave Gelardi, IBM, to talk about today’s announcment
about the National Center for Supercomputing
Applications
and how they have purchased two Linux
clusters, allowing their researchers to conduct computational work
that includes scientific fields such as astrophysics and cosmology,
computational chemistry and biology, and structural design. This
purchase underscores the power and maturity of Linux on Intel-based
systems for high performance computing. It is recognition of the
fact that clustering and open source software have been widely
adopted by the scientific community because they are scaleable
solutions that can meet the requirements for price and performance;
that will enable scientists to focus more on the results of their
research initiatives, rather than building boxes.

If you would like to join us on the show, check
our our IRC Chat (irc.thelinuxshow.com #linuxshow).

Remember tune in at 6pm pst, 7pm rmt, 8pm cst, and 9pm est.
