Trolltech Co-CEO to Step Back

“Trolltech has announced that on Nov. 1, company co-founder and
co-CEO of 13 years Eirik Chambe-Eng will reduce his involvement due
to eyesight difficulties. Current co-CEO Haavard Nord will serve as
sole CEO, while Trolltech will commence searching for a suitable
COO (chief operations officer).

“Chambe-Eng commented, ‘I have recently been diagnosed with a
condition called AMD (age-related macular degeneration) which
impairs my eyesight. Although I am able to function at close to 100
percent at present, the stress and workload associated with being
CEO of a public company [are] not compatible with this
condition…'”
