“Canonical Ltd., the commercial sponsor of Ubuntu, will announce
on April 18 that it has joined the GNOME Foundation’s advisory
board.

“The GNOME Foundation advisory board is made up of
representatives from free software-friendly companies in
industry–from large industry players, to smaller companies that
have emerged from the free software community. The advisory board
provides a vehicle for its members to communicate with the board of
directors and help the directors guide the overall direction of
GNOME…”
