Unvanquished Alpha 16 adds a long-requested feature, minimaps, which is now displayed for all new maps and for most of the commonly played Tremulous maps. This release also brings renderer improvements, allowing mappers to use multiple regions with separate color grades and blend them where appropriate. Also, color grading effects have been added to the game, making the screen desaturated when the player dies, and fade it into red (for humans) or grayscale (for aliens) when the player takes damage.
