USA Today: Linux gains more support

“As thousands of computer professionals gather near here Tuesday
for the LinuxWorld Expo, it is clear that the free operating system
Linux is increasingly viewed as a viable alternative to Windows NT
for running corporate networks.

Over the past few months, a growing number of companies have
announced plans to support Linux (pronounced LINN-ucks). IBM,
Hewlett-Packard, Compaq and Dell are among hardware vendors that
offer equipment compatible with the operating system.”
