Vixta Linux 2009.7

“Vixta is essentially a remaster of Fedora designed to
look somewhat like Windows Vista. Yup, Windows Vista. Some would,
perhaps, argue that it’s insanity for a Linux distribution to
try to mimic what might very well be Microsoft’s greatest
Windows failure (well after Windows ME) but others would argue that
it might help Windows Vista users switch to Linux.

“Before I get into this review let me be blunt in saying that I
never liked Windows Vista all that much. I used it for a while
after it’s initial release and it left me quite cold.
However, I built a computer for a friend of mine and put it on that
box for her and she loves it. She’s still using it and has no
complaints. Your mileage may vary but Windows Vista has never been
viewed very positively by me.”
