VNUnet: SMEs Disagree on Lure of Linux

“New research claiming that small businesses are switching to
Linux has been dismissed by the industry, which says that few firms
are ditching Microsoft.

“The research, commissioned by open source lobby group OpenForum
Europe, claimed that some three-quarters of small businesses in the
UK are looking to adopt open source software instead of using
products from rivals such as Microsoft.

“It focused on 60 enterprise customers across the public, retail
and financial sectors, and advisers to small and medium sized
enterprises (SMEs), such as government business links, software
vendors and resellers…”
