The issue of who is behind the death of Pear OS is quite intriguing. The developer mentions that it was bought by another company but doesn’t say who nor does he give specific reasons on why they purchased it. When I did my review of Pear OS 8, I wondered if Apple would ever go after the developer for trademark violations since it closely resembles some of Apple’s products. Apple is not known for being tolerant if they think their intellectual property rights have been violated.
