Though the Wikipad is often compared to Android gaming consoles like the Ouya, it’s exactly the opposite: A traditional Android tablet with a customized user interface (for example the carousel-like game library display), transforming to a console-quality portable gaming device courtesy of the detachable dual-analog controller.

It runs Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean), packs 1GB of RAM and a quad-core Tegra 3 processor. The 7″ IPS display has a resolution of 1280×800 and is made with scratch-resistant military-grade glass. It also features a micro SD slot for expanded storage, as well as micro HDMI and micro USB ports. Wikipad is also one of the few tablets to be certified with PlayStation Mobile, and it’s optimized for cloud gaming in addition to the growing games library on the Google Play store.
