“Though I am certainly an advocate of desktop Linux, I am not so
impressed with its progress that I cannot recognize faults or
acknowledge them shown to me. Despite my intended objectivity, I
have to admit that an issue was recently brought to my attention
that I, in all my musings, had overlooked. Generally when examining
Linux, be it a specific distribution or something larger, pundits
point out aspects like problems with hardware, a lack of vendor
