“Aiming to boost Linux’s scalability and reliability as a Web
server, Pacific HiTech Inc. will unveil a server clustering
technology in the next two weeks. Moreover, sources close to the
company tell Sm@rt Reseller that Pacific HiTech will launch a
reseller program at the end of March. The channel initiative will
include several tiers and will offer high-end Linux training.

Pacific HiTech, little known in this country, is the leading
Linux vendor in Japan with company claims of more than one million
deliveries of their flagship operating system, TurboLinux, in 1998
alone. Unlike other Linux vendors, Pacific’s operating system comes
in versions for both Japanese and Chinese speakers, making it of
interest to resellers with far-Eastern ties.”
