ZDNet UK: Crusoe fails to deliver on promise

“But Crusoe’s design does leave room for optimisation, with
improvements of up to 30 percent thought to be possible. “The
chip’s architecture allows for these optimisations to be delivered
to existing customers [as a software update],” said Peter
Glaskowsky, an analyst at the Microprocessor Report.”

“At 2.5 hours, battery life on the new Sony is on a par with
modern ultraportable laptops. IBM and other manufacturers plan to
use the Crusoe processor in their laptops.”
