share where it already has a strong presence – among Internet
service providers and application service providers.”

server with a price point similar to a midrange PC – $1,400.
The VA Linux 2130 server is based on an Intel Celeron processor,
128 megabytes of random access memory and an Ultra ATA/66 IDE hard
drive. It comes with the option of Gigabit Ethernet
connections.”
“VA Linux, along with Compaq Computer, Dell Computer,
Hewlett-Packard and IBM are vying with one another to produce hefty
Intel servers running Linux at the lowest possible prices. Brian
Biles, vice president of marketing at VA Linux, said that until
today, none of the manufacturers other than VA Linux had breached
the $1,500 barrier.”
