ZDNet: VA Linux chief: Tech turmoil is good

Larry Augustin isn’t worries about the recent tech stock
turmoil. ‘It’s great that people are focusing more on fundamentals
of companies.’

“When VA Linux Systems Inc. president and CEO Larry Augustin
spoke to ZDII in January, he expressed hope that hype over Linux
would fade to some extent, so the stock market could focus on what
he described as “real” Linux companies.”

“The hype faded, all right. Right along with his company’s
stock, which now trades in the low 40s, far below its peak shortly
after its IPO late last year.”
