“Linux in a small office? You don’t have to be a geek to bring
email, Internet access, and Web hosting services into a small
office of networked systems, both Macintosh and PC. Cobalt
Networks’s new Qube 2 offers the same incredibly easy setup and
administration as the Qube 2700 we tested last year. Only the Qube
2 keeps the low price and it also offers a host of
improvements.

If you’re not familiar with the Qube concept, here’s a quick
refresher: plug the tiny 7.25 x 7.25 x 7.75-inch blue box into your
Ethernet network and Internet connection (Ethernet or regular
telephone modem). Program in the TC/IP settings or, if your
provider offers it, the Qube configures itself using DHCP. Next,
log into the cube from another machine through a standard browser,
set up email accounts, and access and serve pages via the built-in
Apache Web server.”
