Linux Top 3: GNOME Triumphs, Linux 3.18 Nears Release and FreeBSD’s Benefactor

FreeBSD hasn’t had the same commercial success in the market as Linux over the last decade. FreeBSD doesn’t have the same large financial backing that Linux does either. FreeBSD however has something that Linux does not have – a single large benefactor that donated $1 million from his own pocket.
