OpenSUSE 12.1 Gets Snappy Release

“Going a step further openSUSE 12.1 is also among the first
major Linux distribution to include the OwnCloud technology that
lets user build their own personal clouds. Clark explained that
OwnCloud is essentially an open source version of dropbox, giving
users the ability to setup their own cloud to manage files.

“With dropbox you install a small client and then you do your
service with dropbox.com,” Clark said. “The difference here is that
this is an open source project, where I set up my own servers and I
don’t have to go someone else’s service.”
