SF Business Times: Sizzling market for Linux cooks up $32m for startup

“Amidst the skyrocketing IPOs of several companies linked to the
free Linux operating system, San Francisco’s Linuxcare Inc. has
raised $32 million in venture funding from a bevy of big-time
technology players.”

company has also acquired three Linux consulting firms aimed at
bolstering its global professional services ranks.

“Founded in 1998, Linuxcare differs somewhat from these
companies because it is not repackaging and selling any Linux
products. Instead, it focuses solely on offering technical support
and professional services for large corporations running
Linux.”
