4MLinux 20.0 Promises to Be a Special Version, Final Release Launches November 1

Last week, we reported on the availability of the Beta release of the 4MLinux 20.0 Core edition, a stripped-down version of the distribution on which 4MLinux and its sister projects are built on. Therefore, you should already know that 4MLinux 20.0 comes with UEFI (Unified Extensible Firmware Interface) support on both 32- and 64-bit firmware. However, the best part of it all is that the new UEFI support is handled by the same initrd (initial ramdisk) and Linux kernel that have been used in previous versions, which means that 4MLinux remains a 32-bit operating system for both the kernel and the user land.
