Detroit News: Microsoft memo says Linux systems pose threat to Windows NT

A Microsoft Corp. study said Linux-based operating systems pose
a “significant” revenue threat to its Windows NT system for
corporate networks because of greater reliability and cheaper
prices.

“Linux is a discount product that will destroy the value of
other products,” said Dan Kusnetzky, an analyst at International
Data Corp.
