Install CentOS Web Panel on a CentOS 6 Linux VPS

CentOS Web Panel is a free alternative to cPanel and provides plenty of features. To name a few, CentOS Web Panel provides Apache, Varnish, suPHP & suExec, Mod Security, PHP version switcher, Postfix & Dovecot, MySQL Database Managment, PhpMyAdmin, CSF Firewall, CageFS, SSL Certificates, FreeDNS (DNS server) and many more. In this blog post, we are going to show you how to install CentOS Web Panel on a Linux VPS.

Before we start with the installation, please make sure that you have a CentOS VPS with a static IP address and your system is freshly preinstalled with CentOS 6. Also, please note that there is no official CentOS Web Panel uninstaller, so you will have to re-install your server if you are not happy with it for any reason.

First thing you need to do is to log in to your CentOS VPS via SSH as root.
