Introduction to Server-Sent Events with PHP example

Server-sent events (SSE) is a web technology where a browser receives automatic updates from a server via HTTP protocol. W3C publish Proposed Recommendation on 9th of December 2014. Although it is not accepted it is implemented by major web browsers. SSE is useful in cases when one directional communication is needed. For example for stock price update, live scores, server monitoring application and much more.
