Don’t expect to see visual changes on a point release of an Ubuntu LTS (Long Term Support) computer operating system because it will never happen. Instead, you will get the latest upstream kernel and graphics stacks from the current stable version, Ubuntu 14.10 (Utopic Unicorn) in this case, which provide for better support of carefully-selected hardware, with the ultimate goal of keeping Lubuntu 14.04.2 LTS a reliable and stable operating system.
