Ubuntu-Based Black Lab Linux Gets New Weekly Build with Linux 4.8, Unity Desktop

While last week’s Black Lab Linux Weekly 253 release brought quite some interesting changes, including better support for Microsoft Surface Studio and USB-C devices, improved wireless support, as well as the latest security updates, the Weekly 254 build is shipping with the Linux 4.8.0-41 kernel from the Ubuntu 16.10 operating system. It also includes the Unity desktop environment, adds various optimization for SSD (Solid State Drive) and other types of flash drives, improves support for various Intel-based Chromebooks and Intel NUCs, as well as the 5G mobile broadband compatibility. Additionally, it comes with the latest NetworkManager version to reduce the number of disconnects and reconnects.
