Microsoft Down Again

After announcing that outages across Microsoft Corp. sites
yesterday were the result of what company officials are saying was
a “mistaken configuration,” the sites again went down late this
morning.

According to company officials, early indications point towards
the same “mistaken configuration” as yesterday. Officials refused
to comment further.

Despite many reports suspecting a hack yesterday, the software
giant released a statement Wednesday night, stating that one of its
own was to blame for a “configuration change to the routers on the
edge of Microsoft’s Domain Name Server network.”
