BW: Websprocket Releases JEMIni — Open Source Java Libraries for Embedded Systems…

“Websprocket, a provider of software and software tools for
networked devices, today releases JEMIni, a free, open-source Java
programming language for embedded networked systems.”

“JEMIni includes a vast array of foundation libraries found in
commercial Java distribution. JEMIni also includes a host of
libraries suitable for device drivers, embedded system design, and
embedded system design automation. JEMIni works “out-of-the-box”
with Websprocket’s VMFoundry, the new technology that allows
application written in the Java programming language to run
directly on hardware without an operating system. This new
technology was introduced for the first time at JavaOne Sun’s
Worldwide Java Developers Conference.”

“JEMIni along with VMFoundry automatically creates the
minimal subset of Java programming libraries that perfectly match
the target application. These applications execute directly on bare
metal without an operating system or JVM.”
