Korea Herald: Korean firm develops 3-D Web browser, ‘iConnecter’

“Komid, a domestic venture, yesterday unveiled its “iConnecter,”
which it claimed is the world’s first to integrate 2-D and 3-D
capabilities in one browser. It became Asia’s first company to
develop its own Web navigation engine to compete with global
players like Microsoft and Netscape.”

“The company will debut the product at Comdex… in Las
Vegas next month, and will start free of charge distribution to
Korean and U.S. Internet users in December.”

“The Java-based browser is compatible with various operation
systems including Windows, Linux and Unix, and could one day be
installed on non-PC platforms like mobile phones, handheld
computers and Internet TVs.”
