“The Linux/UNIX Desktop Client for Microsoft Exchange
Becoming Popular On Its Own.”
“We’ve experienced extraordinary worldwide demand for this
client,” says Bynari’s CIO, Tom Adelstein. “TradeMail allows Linux
Desktops and UNIX workstations to operate as peers in a Microsoft
Exchange environment. Initially, we thought that would be the sole
reason people would want it. To our surprise, peer review has
revealed a high demand for the client itself, so we’re going to
release version 1.0 as LGPL.”
“Release 1-2 functions as a multi POP3 client and SMTP mail
agent with contact management capabilities, multiple address books,
and the ability to integrate calendar programs such as those found
in GNOME, KDE and CDE desktops.”
