“Video, audio and text conferencing are important
applications on any platform. We’ll take a look at getting set up
to do it, the whole shabang here in this article from the
standpoint of one of two perspectives. You are a Linux user that
only needs to conference with other Linux users. Or, you are a
linux user that needs to conference with other Linux users, as well
as users on alternative platforms such as Windows.

My friend lives in the Philippines. I’ve been trying to get her
to get started with Linux but she really isn’t very warm to the
idea. She would love to but there is no one there that can really
help her do it. So at this point in time, she uses Windows and I
use linux and that is how it has been for a long time now, except
for one small period of time when I used windows too. But at the
present time, what I want to do is share with the Linux community
how we are able to communicate in spite of the fact that we use
different operating systems.”
