Performance Computing: UNIX RIOT — Lusty Linux cult coders will kill IT

“I was talking to a Sun Microsystems product manager recently,
and he told me that it “disturbed” him how Linux developers
“practically lusted after each release.”
Then there was the
Hewlett-Packard marketing guru who told me, “I wouldn’t let my
customers put their business at the mercy of a programming cult.”
It’s attitudes like these that have hindered the UNIX Systems Gang
(Compaq, HP, IBM, Sun, et. al.) from cranking up the sales machine
for their Linux “products.”
