GGV 2.5.4
“The PostScript viewer with a sexist, racist and in all other
manners insulting and humiliating codename, especially hostile to
ethnic minorities”
The following politically incorrect changes were made since
2.5.3:
- if the file does not seem to be PostScript after examining the
header, use GS to test if it could be interpreted anyway, - set exceptions in GNOME/GGV/PostScriptView interface methods
when they fail; improved error detection on client side (fixes
#133601), - keep file choosers open until user really selects a file or
cancels the dialog (fixes #133603), - destroy dialogs maintained by the control when the control is
destroyed, - synced recent-files with latest libegg,
- allow opening multiple documents with a single file open
dialog, - in prefs dialog, change string values via gconf when focus
leaves their respectful entry, so the user does not need to press
return in order to have the change commited (fixes #??????), - show dialog if a recent file can’t be opened,
- only show _existing_ recent files,
- show a dialog if a file can’t be reloaded,
- build fixes (Tomasz Kloczko),
- added some sanity checks to prevent an occasional warning or
two.
Some translations have also been updated; no doubt many
insulting phrases have been introduced there as well:
Albanian (Laurent), Polish (GNOME PL Team), Finnish (Pauli),
Croatian (Robert), Czech (Miloslav), Spanish (Francisco Javier F.),
Norwegian (Kjartan), Japanese (Takeshi), Dutch (Tino), Greek
(Nikos), Arabic (Arafat), Serbian (Danilo) and, finally, Slovenian
(me).

Now go ahead, insult your neighbour with your PostScript
viewer,
jaKa
P.S. one more insulting phrase: to in pa par jajc!
yours insultingly,
jaKa

PLEASE READ
We have not heard from project founder and maintainer Andreas
Mueller for a long time and do not know what his intentions are
regarding cdrdao. Due to recent contributions to the project, we
have decided to nonetheless continue development and to keep
working towards future releases. Manuel Clos is now acting as
project maintainer. We hope to hear from Andreas soon. The latest state of the CVS tree before the merge with the
Gnome2/Gtk2 branch has been tagged as ‘Andreas_1_1_7’.
GCDMaster changes (Denis Leroy)
- gcdmaster was ported to Gnome2/Gtk+2 using the new C++ Gtk2
bindings (gtkmm2 and gnomeuimm2). - ATAPI drives support: gcdmaster will also scan for ATAPI
devices. Devices are now specified as a ‘[path:]x,y,z’ string. - The samples selection can now be cleared (i.e. unselected) by
single-clicking the Audio view during Select mode (not in Zoom
mode). - You can now select multiple files from the file selector when
appending or inserting tracks/files from the main Audio Project
menu. - Some features have been removed (temporarily): the multiple
views feature, the ‘zoom to selection’ icon. Also the progress
dialog is gone during import: progress is shown on the main status
bar.
mp32dao changes:
– FLAC support. mp32dao now handles mp3/ogg/flac files. (Giuseppe
Corbelli)
new:
– toc2cddb: translates a TOC file into a cddb file. (Giuseppe
Corbelli)
new:
– cue2toc: convert CUE to TOC format for audio CDs. (Matthias
Czapla)
