“I don’t believe Release 2.2 will be available in 1998. Our best
estimate now is sometime in early 1999,” said Lynn Nielson,
director of development at Caldera.

When Release 2.2 becomes available, it will include support for
running Linux on multiprocesssor servers.

Release 2.2 also will offer more device drivers.
