Internet Week: Turnkey Linux Vendor Takes On Established Hardware Suppliers

1993 in typical Silicon Valley style, today said it is ready to
bring the open source Linux operating system into large enterprises
for mainstream deployment.”

“Of course with Compaq, Dell, IBM, Lotus, Oracle and Informix,
among others, saying the same, why should anyone pay attention to
an unknown company such as VA Research? According to VA Research
founder Larry Augustin–who financed the company using credit cards
as a graduate student at Stanford University–because it knows more
about Linux than the big boys.”
