Linux Continues To Dominate European Internet Servers

The latest exhaustive CubeNet surveys of European RIPE domains
show Linux to be the most widely deployed with 26.3% of the Web
servers, 33.9% of the FTP servers and 24.7% of the news
servers.

Surveyed were 750,000+ Web servers, 165,000+ FTP servers, and
26,000+ news servers.

The Microsoft family of servers was the second most deployed OS
with 23.4% (Web), 25.2% (FTP) and 15.5% (news) respectively.
