PRNewswire: GTSI and Red Hat to Ink Agreement for Federal Marketplace

“Government Technology Services…announced that the Company and
Red Hat Inc. are in the final stages of negotiating a formal
relationship between the two companies permitting GTSI to sell Red
Hat’s Linux operating system to the federal government. In addition
to the operating system, GTSI also intends to offer the government
a full range of support services.”

As proof of a growing demand for Linux in the federal
arena, GTSI pointed to third quarter 1999 revenue of approximately
$2 million in sales of Linux products and related hardware and
services.

“The Company plans to add Linux products and services to at
least two of the GWAC (Government Wide Acquisition Contracts)
contracts it holds — NIH ECS-2 (National Institutes of Health —
Electronic Computer Store) and NASA’s SEWP-2 (Scientific and
Engineering Workstation Procurement).”
