Ubuntu 11.04 Natty Alpha 2 live CD — Video works, it’s all downhill from there

“Readers of this blog are no doubt very familiar with my video
drama/issues over the ATI Mobility Radeon 4200 HD chip in my Lenovo

fglrx/Catalyst proprietary driver (Ubuntu 10.04), sometimes not
(Fedora 14).

with no problems. And that’s what I’ve been doing.

“I’ve been anxious to try the next Ubuntu release, which will be
even closer to the proverbial bleeding edge than usual, opting for
a new interface called Unity that is slated to knock Gnome out of
its default spot in the wildly popular Linux distribution.
