Ubuntu 14.04 LTS is still a long way out, but it seems that Canonical hasn’t abandoned its plans to also release a reliable Ubuntu for TVs version of its distribution. Ubuntu for TV was shown a while ago during a CES conference, but very little has been heard about it since and people believed that the project had been canned. That is definitely not the case, as the Ubuntu Community Manager points out.
