Release highlights of Frugalware 2.1 “Derowd” include the latest Linux 4.7.2 kernel, X.Org Server 1.18.4 display server, Mesa 12.0.1 3D Graphics Library, LibreOffice 5.2.1.2 office suite, Mozilla Firefox 48.0.2 and Chromium 52.0.2743.116 web browsers, as well as KDE Plasma 5.7.3 and GNOME 3.20.2 desktop environments. Another important change in Frugalware 2.1 is the fact that the development team also decided to no longer maintain and produce a 32-bit ISO image of the distribution, through they will still provide users with i686 packages as they are needed on the x86_64 (64-bit) platform as well.
