GNOME Software 3.11.1 Introduces Amazing New Features

GNOME Software 3.11.1 comes with numerous new features, among which we can mention a loading icon for empty tiles, a new module to submit the user rating to the Fedora-tagger web service, a new plugin to read local installed AppData, a search provider, profiling functionality, for displaying a boot-chart log of startup, and application screenshots, with transition effects, and the GNOME Software executable has been turned into a service. Moreover, support for ‘missing’ codecs has been added, as well as support for Epiphany web applications. The GNOME Software app allows an application to have multiple sources, search-by-mimetype in the UI, handles offline installation, supports AppStream screenshot captions, supports the ‘X-AppInstall-Package’ Ubuntu extension in desktop files, uses GNotification, and support the per-repo icon directories.
