Chown is a command on Linux that is used in order to change the owner of a set of files or directories. Chown comes with multiple options and it is often used to change the group owning the file. However, in some cases, you may need to change the owner of a directory with all the files in it. For that, you may need to use one of the options of the chown command : recursive chown.
