Linux Kernel 4.1 Will be Supported for the Next Two Years, Says Greg Kroah-Hartman

The decision to make Linux kernel 4.1 the next major LTS release was unveiled at the beginning of the month, when Softpedia was the first to discover the news on the Twitter account of Linux Foundation’s LTSI project. Today’s announcement that Linux kernel 4.1 is an official LTS release comes straight from its maintainer, Greg Kroah-Hartman.
