Synfig Studio 1.0.1 is here to address a crash that occurred when there where no fonts install on the host system, to interactively support highlighting during selection of bouding box, and to repair the switching bone parent functionality. The developers are currently working on the new optimized rendering engine, which should be implemented in a future update.
