SystemRescueCd 4.8.3 is now the latest version of the independent system rescue and recovery Live CD, which you can use on any computer to save data from broken disk drives, as well as to fix the bootloader or other components that have been altered due to mistakes or bad user usage. There aren’t so many changes implemented in SystemRescueCd 4.8.3 because it comes only ten days after the release of the previous maintenance update, namely SystemRescueCd 4.8.2. However, we can’t help but notice that the Live CD now offers the recently released Linux 4.4.23 LTS kernel as the alternative kernel.
