With over 150 bug fixes and improvements onboard, Qt 4.8.7 is here to add better support for running Qt 4.8 application under Apple’s latest Mac OS X 10.10 (Yosemite) operating system, addresses some of the nastiest security issues that were present in previous versions, and patches issues reported by users since Qt 4.8.6. Unfortunately, it would appear that Qt 4.8.7 is the last maintenance release of the Qt 4.x series, which means that all developers are urged to migrate their projects to the next-generation Qt 5 toolkit until the end of the year, when the support for Qt 4 will reach end of life.
